"The Dark Energy Survey instrument: the Dark Energy Camera"
Abstract:
The Dark Energy Survey will measure the dark energy equation of state
using four techniques: galaxy cluster counts; weak lensing; baryon
acoustic oscillation; supernova Hubble diagram. The 500 mega-Pixel
Dark Energy Camera will produce 300 Gigabytes of data a night. The
Dark Energy Survey will use the camera to image 5,000 square degrees
of the sky. The camera will also be available for astronomers using
the Blanco 4-meter telescope.
