Title:
"WW and WZ production in electron-neutrino plus dijet final state at CDF"
Abstract:
We present a search for WW and WZ production in electron-neutrino plus dijet final states at $\sqrt{s}=1.96$~TeV, using approximately 1.3 fb$^{-1}$ of data accumulated with the CDF detector. This channel has not been observed in hadron colliders so far because of the large single W plus jets background. This mode however has much larger branching fractions than the cleaner fully leptonic mode making it more sensitive to anomalous triple gauge couplings which would manifest themselves at higher transverse W momenta. Because the final state is topologically similar to the associated production of a Higgs with a W, the techniques developed in this analysis will also be applicable there. The analysis is optimized by using an artificial neural network for the event selection.
