"Does Fermilab Have a Future" - this is how Adrian Cho, himself trained as a high energy physicist, started his recent article in Science magazine (http://www.sciencemag.org/cgi/content/full/320/5880/1148) and he continued to ask whether particle physics in the United States will survive. Of course it will - with the LHC about to turn on, the discoveries in the neutrino sector and the puzzling observation that the expansion of the Universe is accelerating our field is more exciting than ever. But we also know that changes are coming both for the laboratory and the user community. During these times of change the Fermilab users organization will have an important role to play. If I get elected I will contribute my efforts in the UEC to help make this a successful transition for the entire Fermilab user community.
