Robert Harr Statement The last year witnessed substantial ups and downs at Fermilab and in U.S. particle physics. Most of these were driven by events in D.C. and had little to do with physics results coming out of the labs. Fermilab's User's Organization has been an important channel of communication and facilitation between users and laboratory management, lawmakers and government officials. The role of the User's Organization on a number of fronts was clearly evident this year, notably in reopening the swimming pool, and in lobbying efforts that aided the enactment of supplemental funding for the Office of Science. It is vital that we promote the Fermilab physics program and communicate the importance and excitement of the field to members of Congress, the Office of Science, and officials in the administration. It is equally important to continue improving the quality of life at Fermilab for those who devote their time in the pursuit of knowledge I am running for the Users' Executive Committee to bring my experience and enthusiasm to support the efforts of Fermilab users.
