Kevin Lannon Statement: The next several years will bring both excitement and uncertainty. The Tevatron is currently producing high quality physics results, and the potential for further discovery, especially in the Higgs sector, remains high. However, after the Tevatron, the direction of the lab is uncertain. Focus is already beginning to shift towards the LHC, while plans for the ILC remain undetermined. In the meantime, Fermilab continues to nurture and develop its strong neutrino and particle-astrophysics efforts. The challenge facing the lab is to craft a plan that sustains energy of the users' community regardless of whether Fermilab hosts the ILC. It is vital that the users at Fermilab play an active role in shaping this plan. Furthermore, a lively Fermilab community is critical to the health of High Energy Physics in the US. The Fermilab Users Executive Committee plays the crucial role of facilitating communication between representatives in government and lab management and the community of users. Success depends on an effective flow of information in both directions. In seeking election to the UEC, I hope to be given the opportunity to contribute to the success of this effort.
