Dan Hooper Statement: Fermilab has been and continues to be a invaluable resource to the scientific community and to the public at large. It has a long history of great contributions to the field of particle physics. I take a lot of pride in being able to work at such a facility. To me, there is no more exciting American institution at which to study physics. We are currently approaching a point of transition in Fermilab's history. As the Tevatron prepares to complete its final run, it is time to look to the future. In a time such as this, it is critical that the value of the laboratory and what it has to offer is appreciated fully by those who hold its future in their hands. I feel passionately about Fermilab and the field of particle physics. If elected to serve on the U.E.C., I will work very hard to be an effective advocate for Fermilab and for science at large. In particular, I am excited to take part in the Washington trip to advocate on behalf of Fermilab. My website can be found at: http://home.fnal.gov/~dhooper
