Amitabh Lath Statement: In the short term, it is imperetive that we handle the transition to the LHC era judiciously. The pull of CMS and ATLAS is undeniable and will only get stronger. We must articulate not only our concerns about manpower and resources, but also our belief that CDF and D0 will produce exciting results as the integrated luminosity climbs. We must convince university groups and theorists. The UEC must help in forming and disseminating this message. As the LHC turns on and starts producing data the Fermilab LPC must become a viable and vibrant place that produces results. I believe this is possible if the LPC has critical mass, and the UEC can help.
