Mary Anne Clare Cummings

Statement:

Fermilab stands out as a unique facility and unique scientific culture. I have 
worked on fixed-target, collider and astrophysics experiments through FNAL, and 
am always reminded of the depth of talent and institutional experience of the 
Lab with every one. Fermilab is the center of the DOE research program, and 
remains the world's premier particle physics facility. I would like for that to 
be our future, and to keep the intellectual culture here vibrant, even as the 
energy frontier will temporarily be in Europe for a few years. I'd work with the 
UEC to keep the Lab directorate and the DOE committed to this future.
