Maxwell Chertok Statement: It is critical to the future of US HEP that Run II of the Tevatron end on a successful note. It is likely that the lion's share of the data will stream in towards the end of the run, and this could cause a major resource problem if most current CDF and DZero physicists have fully "moved" to the LHC experiments by that time. Over the next few years the number one priority for the lab should be an optimized transition from the Tevatron to the LHC while simultaneously not abandoning the CDF and DZero prematurely. Strong continued support of the neutrino experiments is crucial as well. As a member of the UEC, I will work with the Fermilab administration, the funding agencies and Congress to ensure that these priorities indeed come to fruition. Furthermore, I see the LHC Physics Center as playing a central role in the Fermilab users' LHC ramp-up, and I will remain active there as well. I am committed to the future of Fermilab, including both the Tevatron and the neutrino program, and want to work for all Fermilab users in the large task of defining it.
