Dhiman Chakraborty Statement: ---------- Fermilab has been one of the world's leading centers of research in HEP for the past three decades. In order for it to maintain that stature, we must ensure a well-rounded culmination of the Tevatron Run 2, even as resources are moved rapidly toward the start-up of the LHC. At the same time, the lab must plan its long-term future to host major experimental facilities for collider physics, accelerator-based neutrino physics, and particle astrophysics. It must also foster a conducive environment that will continue to attract the best researchers from all over the world. At this critical juncture, it is particularly important that the lab directorate and its users remain well informed of each others' interests and constraints. It is also vital that we communicate and justify our visions and plans to the public, their representatives, and administrators. To win their confidence and support to our cause, we must prepare well and present our case in a way that makes sense to them. If elected to the UEC, I will do my best to mediate these communications.
