Logo and Mark

Fermilab's historic Mark and the word "Fermilab" serve as the core graphic identity for the lab. Whenever possible and practical, use the logo (including the word "Fermilab") in its entirety as described and provided below.

Logo

The Fermilab Mark and the word "Fermilab", together, are considered the "Logo".

The logo has been formalized as follows:

  • The peak of the lower case letters will be the same height as the top edge of the adjacent radial stroke of the mark.
  • The bottom edge of the lower case letters will align with the bottom edge of the lower horizontal stroke of the mark.
  • The upper case "F will be proportioned to the same height of the top and bottom edge of the two horizontal strokes of the mark.

Mark

Whenever the Mark is to be used alone, it must be used as described in the original technical drawing (0122.9MC-1050). These exact proportions specified should be maintained in all applications.
