This stand of old oak trees in the center of the Main Ring is adjacant to
Lake Logo and is one of the more pleasant places on
site to go birding. The area attracts a number of interesting breeding species
which include Orchard Oriole,
Yellow-breasted Chat,
Sedge Wren, and
Eastern Bluebird. This is also a
good spot to look for migrants in both the spring and fall.
Brewer's Sparrow (1998),
Yellow-throated Warbler (1993),
Hooded Warbler (1999),
Louisiana Waterthrush, and
Connecticut Warble have all been
seen here in the past.
