March 16, 1999:
HepTuple (v1.4)
Arithmetic on Histograms (add two histograms, multiply, etc.)
Appending Ntuples.
Cloning histograms and Ntuples. The clone need not be in the
same manager as the original.
Ability to work with Read-only manager files.
The Root and HBook filemanagers are now fully available on NT.
bug fixes including some related to directory management in HBook
ErrorLogger (v1.1)
Implements ELcout class
Allows the framework to
force all user cout and/or cerr output to be
routed into the error logs.
February 16, 1999:
SIunits v1.0.1 with NT
compatibility, installed through upd.
The SI Library of Unit-Based Computation:
Compatibility extension for Visual C++
-
We have remedied a restriction about using upd install to get
SIunits from KITS, and then building it in the Developers Studio
IDE.
Feature documentation is available for the
SIunits package.

SIunits v1.0 with NT
compatibility.
The SI Library of Unit-Based Computation:
Compatibility extension for Visual C++
-
The SIunits package
provides physical constants and
standard physics dimensioned quantities,
and uses the powerful C++ template mechanism to
implement automatic compile-time checking of dimensions.
-
The latest version of SIunits supports compilation
of code using the SIunits features and these constants and quantities,
on Visual C++ 5.0.
-
Since this compiler does not handle the template mechanisms used
to implement dimension checking, code compiled under VC++ with
the SIunits library will not be dimension-checked.
Feature documentation is now available for the
SIunits package.
February 2, 1999:
Bug-fix Release:
ErrorLogger (v1.0.1)
Correction to internal path names that prevented
correct compilation under some circumstances.
January 12, 1999:
New Beta Release:
ErrorLogger (v1.0)
Controlled message logging to multiple output destinations and to
a statistics-keeping destination.
This package allows for automatic dispatch of messages to destinations,
with --
- filtering based on severity levels
- throttling to avoid excessive repeats of the same type of message
- automatic appending of time, module/package, and context
(run/event) information
