• Brought in synch with version in CERN repository (1.7)

• Cosmetic error message fixes.

• Problem fix and documentation improvements.

• Features from gsl 0.9.

• Declared production.

August 22, 2001:

Proposed feature change in PhysicsVectors or CLHEP/Vector

It is proposed that eta() when taken on a zero vector should return 0, rather than a large positive number. See the Proposed Enhancements page.

July 23, 2001:

ZOOM Web Page has been steamlined

• Obsolete information has been removed
• The list and descriptions of packages has been made more uniform
• Less critical information has been moved to linked pages
• This new page is less than half as lenghthy

• Faster matrix inversion in HepMatrix for 6x6, 5x5, and 4x4 non-symmetric matrices.
• When a singular is inverted, ifail comes back 1 but nothing is written to cerr.
ErrorLogger
• Support for Multi-threaded applications.
HepTuple
• Support for ROOT 3.0x.
SpecialFunctions
• Uses gsl 0.8.
