The ZOOM Minimization package is meant to supply all the functionally of MINUIT (and certain natural extensions) in an object-oriented form which:

• Is natural and modern C++
• Allows the user to work with problems and functions as objects
• Separates concepts (such as function Domain) which are logically independant
• Is easy to extend to new alogorithms, types of domains, and so forth
• Is usable in places where direct MINUIT translations (which of necessity depend on static data) fail
