WRQ's FTP Client -  Configuration to Recognize Symbolic Links

It has been noted there is an inconsistency with WRQ's ftp client not recognizing symbolic links on Irix ftp servers. The procedure below is to be used so symbolic links can be recognized.

The following assumes that you have Reflection WRQ already installed as well as a ftp connection established.

After a successful login you will gain access to the desired information We are interested in the information that appears as links (information in the red circle)

Use the Tools pulldown menu and select Directory Definition Wizard . . .  You will receive the following warning message Click yes to continue.

After clicking yes, you will receive Define Directory Format Window Click on Next

FTP Site Information Ensure the information in the window is correct Click on Next

Select FileName You will receive the following page

Select Filename As you select the filename you will see it selected in the lower pane. Ensure that all information is selected. Click on Next

Select File Date and Time In the same manner as you selected the filename, select the file date and time. Ensure that all information is selected. Click on Next

Select File Size In the same manner as you selected the filename, date and time, select the file size. Ensure that all information is selected. Click on Next

Select File Attributes In the same manner as you selected the filename, date and time and file size, select the file attributes. Ensure that all information is selected. Click on Next

Summary Verify the fields defined. Click on Finish

Verify your folder structure
