nu/TPU has a set of pre-programmed runtime environment settings. To see the
runtime values, type tpu -env at the operating system command line. Command line switches, environment
variables, and the nu/TPU defaults file can be used to override the runtime values
for nu/TPU.
Both the command line and environment variables may overlap settings with the
defaults file. Defaults files have the lowest priority, thus values set in the
defaults file may be superseded via the command line or environment variable.
