A developer/contributor's viewpoint

In a private ``workdir'' directory, using the command ``newrel'' the developer can recreate the release structure starting from a reference release. To modify an existing package, the contributor can use the ``addpkg'' command that checks out the module from the CVS repository. The checkout command creates the main directory structure for the package reflecting the module organization in CVS. Extra directories need to be created by the package-specific make file. The developer then communicates changes to the librarian, who commits them to CVS.
