Each of these directories corresponds to one of the packages that make up the release, reflected by their parent directory, of the product. These directories are named for their corresponding packages.
However, in order to reduce unnecessary duplication of information already present within the ``packages/'' substructure, each of these directories is simply a link to the directory (at depth 3, described in section B.2.2 above) corresponding to the appropriate version of the package used to construct this release.
