The tailor script will ask you several questions about the
configuration of jukeboxes on your system to build the
configuration files that tell the jukebox software how to operate.
For each jukebox you wish to configure, you must give:
- a unique name for the jukebox -- each jukebox is identified
by a name. The script uses this name as part of a filename,
so you should pick a name that is legal with an added
extension on your system; for example if you give it
a name of "fred", the file "fred.prm" should be legal
on your system.
- hostname the jukebox is connected to -- even if the jukebox
is connected to the host you are on, you should still
specify its hostname.
- jukebox type -- currently you can only specify "EXABYTE",
or "SUMMUS", other types should be forthcoming.
- connection device -- you should specify the device name
used to reach the device, usually something in
/dev/scsi on IRIX machines for example.
- number of tape drives -- how many tape drives are in
the jukebox
- tape drive device names -- the script will next ask for
device names for each of the drives in the jukebox.
Use a device name that users will actually be asking
for (.i.e if this will be used by CPS, /usr/cpsdev/...)
The script will then ask if you want to add another jukebox entry.
This script will build default configurations for each jukebox you
describe to it, consisting of a one-line entry in
$JUKE_DIR/config/client.cf, and a permsissions file named
$JUKE_DIR/config/ thisjuke.prm for a jukebox named
thisjuke.
You can run the tailor script again later to add more jukeboxes.
The tailor script does not currently support modifying or
deleting entries,
currently this can only be done by editing the
$JUKE_DIR/config/client.cf file and associated permission
files by hand.
