Fermi Utilities: futil

futil is merely a convenience for installing and/or setting up a number of useful Fermilab utilities such as:
flpr fermi lpr tool for printing to networked printers
gtools gnu tools including g[un]zip
psutils PostScript tools including a2ps (ascii->ps converter) and psnup
stock online stock catalogue
telephone online telephone directory tool

See the futil.table file for a complete list of the utilities.

NOTE, if you are on a system where futil v5_2 or earlier was installed, you may have copies of these binaries in your /usr/local/bin directory, which can be a source of problems and/or confusion. (See the documentation on setpath for a more detailed description of these problems).

You may use the commands 

	ups check futil v6_0
(to see what would be deleted) or 
	ups clean futil v6_0
to actually delete the obsolete files in /usr/local/bin. You probably will need to be 'root' to successfully remove the files.
