Laboratory Report

The Accelerator Division will present a proton report, which outlines the expected capabilities for proton intensities in the near and medium-term future.

E-898  MiniBooNE

The MiniBooNE collaboration has submitted for this meeting a document including their request for an extension of MiniBooNE approval by a year.  This document is an addendum to the 80-page Run Plan they submitted in November, 2003.  They are presently approved through FY2005, and are seeking approval through FY2006.  The draft meeting agenda includes presentations by MiniBooNE representatives on the status of the experiment and their run plan for FY2006.  The MiniBooNE leadership and Accelerator Division personnel will be available to answer questions.

Please evaluate the MiniBooNE plan for FY 2006 running and make a recommendation on extending their approval until the 2006 shutdown.  The main documents for that evaluation will be the existing Run Plan, the addendum submitted for this meeting, and the presentations to the PAC.

Status of Other Laboratory Experiments

The PAC will hear status reports on a number of experiments, including: NuMI/MINOS, CDF, DZero, the Cryogenic Dark Matter Search, the Auger Observatory, the Sloan Digital Sky Survey, the Dark Energy Survey, Main Injector Particle Production and other SY120 efforts - as well as on CMS as it prepares for physics at Fermilab and Linear Collider Detector R&D.

These reports are designed to keep the PAC informed on the full Fermilab program.  We welcome comments on any or all of these activities.
