Chief Information Officer
As Chief Information Officer for Computing, I report to the Director and have line responsibility for the management of all aspects of the Computing Sector at Fermilab. The Computing Sector consists of the Scientific Computing Division, the Core Computing Division, the Service Management organization and the Office of the CIO.
I am responsible for ensuring that scientific programs and efforts have the computing, software, data acquisition systems, online and PREP equipment support they need both now and in the future. I am also responsible for ensuring that the core computing services and information systems of the laboratory meet the needs of both the scientific programs and the laboratory’s operations functions
As Chief Information Office (CIO) I am responsible for computing policies, the computer security program and the information technology governance processes and portfolios lab-wide.
I am also a member of the laboratory’s senior management team working to support the Director and Deputy Director and to participate in management of the laboratory.
