I am responsible to the Director for all matters concerning foreign relations and scientific appointments. I act as the Laboratory contact for Fermilab activities involving non-U.S. countries and am the Directorate advisor on US visa activities and usually a member of the U.S. delegation to the annual U.S./China, U.S./Japan and U.S./Russia high energy physics meetings, preparing the Laboratory's submissions to same. I approve Fermilab preprints and produce the Fermilab Annual Research Program Workbook. As Secretary for the Fermilab Committee on Scientific Appointments (FCSA), I am the contact person for scientific appointments and I administer the Accelerator Ph.D. program. I also provide other assistance to the Director as assigned.
